Description: |
Robust perennial sedge, mostly 50-100 cm, tall, growing from a shortly creeping rhizome. Leaves basal, spreading, grass-like, linear, flat or folded, basal sheaths up to 10 cm long, dark purple below, pale brown higher up. Inflorescence a large terminal subcapitate head of clusters of spikelets, cream to pale yellow. |
