Description: |
Large tree with branchlets yellowish tomentose. Leaves pinnate with 3-5 pairs of leaflets, c. 20 cm long; petiole 3-7 cm; rhachis densely yellow pubescent-tomentose. Leaflets elliptic, 14-16 cm long, somewhat leathery, hairless above, sparsely pubescent beneath. Inflorescences terminal or axillary, up to 25 cm long, yellowish hairy. Mature flowers not seen, probably white. |
Notes: | Only known from the type specimen. It is closest to Deinbollia nyikensis (now considered synonymous with D. borbonica). Differences are in leaf reticulation, texture and calyx size but flowers were immature in the only specimen known of this taxon. |
