Terrestrial herb up to 35 cm tall growing from ovoid or ellipsoid tubers; stem slender, erect with 1 basal leaf and c. 7 sheathing stem leaves; basal leaf appressed to ground, 4-7 x 4-6 cm, ovate to cordate, fleshy, glabrous above but ciliate on edges, silvery with dark green veins; stem leaves 10-20 mm long; stem, bract-like leaves, bracts, ovary and sepals all pubescent; inflorescence fairly densely 7-12 flowered; bracts c. 7 mm long; flowers non-resupinate, rather campanulate in shape, yellow to yellowish green; ovary and pedicel suberect, 8-11 mm long; dorsal sepal ovate, convex, 7-7.5 x 3-4 mm; lateral sepals 7-8 x 3 mm; petals 2-lobed in apical third, tips of the lobes slightly reflexed, upper lobed 2 x c. 1 mm, lower lobes 3.5 x 2 mm; lip 3-lobed to about half its length, mid-lobe 5-6 x 1-2.5 mm, side lobes 4-5.5 x 1-2 mm long; spur curving downwards, 13-15 mm long, somewhat swollen at apex. |
