Description: |
Sticky aromatic, shrubby perennial herb with stems up to 1.5 m tall, covered in long hairs and scattered capitate glands. Leaves opposite, ovate, largest 10-19 cm long, with scattered to dense long hairs mainly on the veins; margin entire or crenate; petiole up to 10 cm long with the leaf base running down into the petiole. Inflorescence an open panicle up to 25 cm long with dense long hairs and capitate glands. Flower blue to deep purple with a brown base on the lower lip, 20-28 mm long, sparsely glandular hairy; tube 8-10 mm long; lower lip 14-17 mm long. Capsule 21-27 mm long, glandular hairy in the apical half. |
