Description:
Perennial herb up to c. 45 cm tall; branches erect, thinly grey-araneose, leave almost to the inflorescence. Leaves up to 2.7 x 0.8 cm on a petiole up to 0.6 cm long; blade ovate-lanceolate to lanceolate, apex acuminate, crenate and a little decurrent into the petiole, thinly araneose, green and more or less bullate above, densely white tomentose below. Capitula c. 3 mm in diam., in more or less lax terminal corymbs; involucral bracts 3-seriate, outer 2 series oblong and rounded at the apex, c. 4 mm long, araneose at the base, silvery white, imbricate and not spreading, innermost spathulate. Receptacle lat, nude. Florets yellow, up to c. 10; female florets 1-3, 2.7 mm long, narrowly cylindric, lobes more or less erect, papillose-glandular; hermaphrodite florets 3 mm long, cylindric but wider, limb campanulate, lobes larger and papillose-glandular. Cypsela 1 mm long, cylindric, glabrous; pappus setae equalling the corolla, deciduous.
Notes: This taxon name does not appear to be listed at all in IPNI nor in POWO and its current status is unknown. The above description was copied from Hiram Wild's unpublished manuscript (c. 1980).
