| Description: |
Perennial herb up to c. 45 cm tall; branches erect, thinly grey-araneose, leave almost to the inflorescence. Leaves up to 2.7 x 0.8 cm on a petiole up to 0.6 cm long; blade ovate-lanceolate to lanceolate, apex acuminate, crenate and a little decurrent into the petiole, thinly araneose, green and more or less bullate above, densely white tomentose below. Capitula c. 3 mm in diam., in more or less lax terminal corymbs; involucral bracts 3-seriate, outer 2 series oblong and rounded at the apex, c. 4 mm long, araneose at the base, silvery white, imbricate and not spreading, innermost spathulate. Receptacle lat, nude. Florets yellow, up to c. 10; female florets 1-3, 2.7 mm long, narrowly cylindric, lobes more or less erect, papillose-glandular; hermaphrodite florets 3 mm long, cylindric but wider, limb campanulate, lobes larger and papillose-glandular. Cypsela 1 mm long, cylindric, glabrous; pappus setae equalling the corolla, deciduous. |
