Notes: | Although this species is often considered a Mt Mulanje endemic there are actually no confirmed records from the main Mulanje Massif. It has been recorded from the nearby smaller Mt Mchese and from Mt Soche near Blantyre. The species is therefore better named a Shire Highlands endemic (Dowsett-Lemaire & White in Bull. Jard. Bot. Nat. Belg. 60: 87, 1990). |
