Description:
Terrestrial herb up to c. 50 cm high. Leaves 5–9, the lowermost 1–2 sheathing, spotted with black, the next few semi-spreading, linear-lanceolate, 6–14 cm long, folded. Inflorescence laxly or fairly densely several- to many-flowered, 5–26 cm long; bracts lanceolate, 10–22 mm long, finely pubescent or glandular. Flowers green and white. Dorsal sepal reflexed, oblong, 5.5–8 mm long; lateral sepals deflexed, obliquely obovate, 8.3–10 mm long and 4–6 mm wide, with a lateral point. Petals densely pubescent, 2-lobed almost to base; upper lobe linear, 5–7 mm long, erect or recurved; lower lobes lanceolate, 9–13 mm long, spreading, hinged. Lip deflexed, 3-lobed; mid-lobe 12–15 mm long; side lobes 8–10 mm long; all lobes linear, to 1 mm wide; spur 13–20 mm long, swollen towards apex, twisted in the middle, usually upcurved so that the tip held above the flower.
