Description: |
Laxly branched shrub up to 3 m tall, growing from a woody rootstock. Leaves oblanceolate to narrowly obovate, up to 5 cm long, shortly hairy and with sessile glands on both surfaces; margin crenate at the top part only, rolled under; petiole 1-9 mm long, flattened, pubescent. Inflorescences mostly 2-3 perbranch, hemispherical but flattened below, 30-45 mm in diameter. Calyx 12-22 mm long, 10-12 toothed,pale green to brown, lower teeth often partially united. Corolla 4-5 cm long, densely orange hairy; tube 22-30 mm long; upper lip 14-20 mm long, orange hairs enclosing anthers and stigma; lower lip 3-lobed. |
