Description: |
Branching shrub up to 4 m high, rarely taller. Leaves more or less broadly elliptic or obovate, usually 12–20 cm long, 1–3 times as long as broad, usually dark blueish green; rather abruptly narrowed in the lower third. Heads 10–16 cm diameter. Bracts usually persistently silvery hairy, sometimes becoming hairless towards the margin. Flowers bright rose pink. |
Notes: | A very attractive plant with bright pink flowerheads. See var. divaricata for comparison. |
