Description: |
Epiphytic herb. Pseudobulbs borne close together on the rhizome, forming mats, more or less globose to ovoid, 10–20 mm high, purple-red, wrinkled. Leaves 2, linear, 35–45 mm long and 4-6 mm wide, grass-like, deciduous in dry season. Peduncle 3.5–5 cm long; rhachis 1.5–2 cm long, up to 16-flowered. Flowers more or less on one side, deep maroon-purple. Bracts 2–4 mm long, about half as long as the flowers. Dorsal sepal ovate, 3–4 mm long; lateral sepals lanceolate, 2–4.2 mm long, curling back. Petals linear, 1–1.5 mm long. Lip 2–3 mm long, able to move, fringed with hairs on the upper half. |
