Description:
Perennial 5-33 cm tall growing from small ellipsoid or globose tubers; leaves glabrous, 2-7(10) cm long, suborbicular, shallowly lobed or not, margins subentire to irregularly crenulate, truncate to slightly cordate at base; flowers pale to bright pink, in terminal and axillary dichasial cymes, peduncles 0.3-4.5 cm long; male flowers with 2 + 2 tepals, outer tepals suborbicular, 9-14 x 8-12 mm while inner tepals obovate, 5-7 x 3-4 mm; female flowers with 5 tepals, outer elliptic to oblong, 4.6-12 x 4-6 mm, innermost smaller; ovary 4-8 x 4-7 mm, ovoid; fruits 6-10 x 5-8 mm excluding unequal sized wings.

Habitat: In woodland on termite mounds.
