Description: |
Trees, mostly small, branchlets densely pubescent. Leaflets in 5−8(10) pairs, the middle pair largest. Stipules persistent. Flowers larger than in other Brachystegia species, stamens 12−18 (compare B. longifolia & B. allenii 10); filaments more than 20 mm long. Dormant axillary buds much flattened and sharply keeled, with stipular remnants. |
