Description: |
Shrub or small tree up to 8 m high; branchlets greyish or brownish, hairless. Leaves rather variable, elliptic to oblong or obovate, 5–10 cm long, obtuse to emarginate at the apex, rounded to slightly cordate at the base; ufinely reticulate and hairless above, midrib and lateral veins often sticky with yellow glands, typically bullate in the angles made by the lateral veins and midrib; concolorous and fienrly velvety beneath; venation slightly depressed above and prominent beneath; lateral veins in 8–13 pairs, nearly straight but incurved at the apex without reaching the leaf margin. Inflorescences axillary, 1·5–3 cm long, few-flowered, rusty hairy. Sepals 2 mm long, densely rusty woolly. Petals 8 mm long, densely greyish hairy. Fruit subglobose, 1–1·5 cm wide, rounded to conical at the apex, greyish hairy; wings elliptic to obovate, 2·5–3·5 cm long, yellowish or brownish. |
