Description:
Vigorous climbing herb. Leaves broadly-ovate to deltoid with a large round stipule-like lobe at the base of the petiole, discolorous, dull green and mostly hairless above, greyish silvery pubescent beneath; veins impressed above; margin coarsely and irregularly serrated. Capitula bright yellow, produced in masses of branched inflorescences.
Notes:
Derivation of specific name: deltoideus: shaped like a triangle (referring to the leaves)
Habitat: Among rocks in (sub)montane grassland, in the bracken ecotone between forest and grassland, riverine vegetation and along roadsides in high rainfall areas.
