Description: |
Annual herb to 1.5 m. Stems ribbed, often purplish more or less densely covered with long spreading hairs. Leaves opposite, deeply pinnately divided with lobes elliptic-oblong, often more or less deeply lobed again, particularly on the lower leaves. Capitula golden-yellow, on peduncles up to 15 cm long. Outer involucral bracts 5-10, linear spathulate, 0.4-1.8 cm long, more or less hairy; inner bracts as long or slightly longer, ovate-oblong Rays 5-8, up to 2 cm, yellow. Aristae of achenes retrorsely barbed. |
