Description:
Shrub or tree. Bark grey, flaking in small scales. Leaves in pairs at the ends of branches and short lateral shoots, elliptic to (rarely) almost round, glabrous or somewhat hairy with 7-7 pairs of lateral veins; domatia inconspicuous. Flowers in many flowered pedunculate heads, borne on leafless nodes of last years growth, pale green to yellowish. Fruit appearing almost square, bilobed at the apex, yellowish, edible.

Habitat: In hot low altitude woodland, often in river valley vegetation and on termite hills.
