Description: |
Erect terrestrial herb 10-30 cm high. Leaves numerous in a basal rosette, spathulate, 2-4 cm long with a distinct petiole. Traps numerous, colourless, clustered below the leaves. Inflorescence simple or sparsely branched, 3-10 flowered. Calyx with 5 subequal lobes 2-4 mm long. Corolla 2-lipped, 10-15 mm long, violet, blue mauve or pink with a paler often greenish or yellowish spur; rarely all yellow. Upper lip ovate, about twice as long as the calyx lobes; lower lip larger broader than long, 3-lobed; spur more or less cylindrical, obtuse, 1.5-2 times as long as the lower lip, more or less bristly hairy. Fruit a globose to broadly ovoid capsule, 3-4 long, more or less bristly hairy. |
