Description: |
Erect perennial herb, occasionally annual, up to 70 cm tall, occurring in wet grassland and swampy places. Stems quadrangular without dark glands. Leaves lanceolate, sessile, clasping around the lower stems, margin recurved. Flowers terminal, solitary or in lax heads, yellow to pale orange with red markings, the petals rolling up in the heat of the day. Fruit a small capsule. |
