Description: |
Much-branched shrub, 1-6 m tall. Branches reddish-brown with white lenticels. Leaves spirally arranged, lanceolate to narrowly ovate, up to 16 times; 6 cm, pale to bright green with yellow translucent gland-dots on the undersurface; margin toothed. Flowers in axillary spikes, unisexual on the same inflorescence. Female flowers below, held in large shallowly cup-shaped bracts; male flowers above, very small, whitish. Fruit c. 3 mm in diameter, 3-lobed, gland-dotted, held in the enlarged bracts. |
