Description: |
Straggling perennial herb with hairless stems up to 60 cm long. Leaves mostly alternate, rarely subopposite, sessile or very shortly petiolate, elliptic to oblong-ovate, up to 2.5 cm long, somewhat bluish green, hairless; stipules ovate, c. 2.5 mm long, whitish. Inflorescences axillary and terminal, up to 13 cm long, branched and laxly flowered. Flowers on very short pedicels with whitish bracts; sepals greenish,hooded; petals white, smaller than sepals. Fruit ovoid-globose, c. 1.5mm in diameter, slightly 3-sided with a rough surface, enclosed in the persistent perianth. |
