Description: |
Parasitic shrub. Leaves opposite, subsessile, leathery, hairless, grey-green to blue-green, ovate, with 3-9 pairs of spreading veins, cordate at the base, basal lobes sometimes clasping the branches. Flowers in axillary c. 4-flowered clusters; corolla tube 3-4 cm long, dull red; lobes green; heads of buds, darkening, before opening, velvety to woolly hairy. Fruit an ellipsoid berry, c. 8 × 7 mm, finely velvety, crowned with the persistent calyx. |
