Description:
Terrestrial herb 15-40 cm tall; pseudobulbs partly above ground, 2-3 x 2-3.5 cm, conical to almost globose; leaves 3-4, 1-3 x 0.8-2 cm, ovate to oblong-elliptic, obtuse, plicate, absent at flowering time; inflorescence fairly densely up to 30 flowered with 2-3 loose tubular sheaths towards base and 1-2 linear-lanceolate bracts further up; ovary and pedicel 10-14 mm long; flowers pink to pinkish-brown; sepals 11-15 x 4-8 mm, oblanceolate, margins undulate, dorsal sepal erect, lateral sepals recurved; petals 9-11 x 9-11 mm, broadly ovate to orbicular, veined with red on inner surface; lip c. 15 mm long, obscurely 3-lobed with a lacerate membrane in the throat and 1-3 fleshy rugolose ridges in front, mid-lobe 8-9 x 6-7 mm, triangular; spur obscurely conical; column 3-5 mm long, lacking a foot.
