Description: |
Herb 12–80 cm high, completely hairless, growing from a small ovoid bulb ovoid, 1–3 cm wide, occasionally producing bulbils. Leaves 4–11, linear to linear-lanceolate, up to 50 cm long and 9 mm wide. Peduncle terete, often curved above. Inflorescence laxly flowered and subsecund, overtopping the leaves. Pedicels lengthening in fruit, up to 14 mm long. Flowers green, brownish, yellowish or whitish-green; outer and inner segments equal, linear, c.13 mm long, outer ones recurved from below middle, inner ones broader, slightly spreading. Anthers c.5 mm long; style about as long as ovary. Capsule 3-angled, 5–13 mm long. |
