Description:
Perennial herb, growing from a horizontal rhizome with fibrous roots, bearing white tubers. Leaves 4-9, forming a fan, overlapping at the base, more or less broadly linear, 10-48 cm long. Inflorescences 1-3 axillary, short racemes, strongly deflexed at the base. Flowers white, c. 7 mm long. Capsule c. 4 × 5 mm, 3-sided, deeply lobed, smooth.
