Description:
Rhizome short; rhizome scales pale brown, narrowly lanceolate, very shiny, the margin with short emergences. Fronds tufted, erect or arching, 20–60 cm long, pinnate, often rooting at the tips. Stipe 8–10 cm long, nearly hairless to covered with very narrow scales. Pinnae oblong, sometimes lower pinnae obliquely produced and lanceolate at tips, becoming successively smaller above, 0.8–2.5(–4) × 0.4–1.2 cm, upper and outer margins incised, lower margins entire, glabrous or with scattered hairs; sterile pinnules acutely toothed; venation almost fan-shaped; pinna-stalklets blackish, (1–)2–4 mm long, densely hairy. Rhachis dark brown to blackish, nearly hairless to densely hairy. Sori narrowly curved-oblong or straight, 1 × 3 mm.
Notes: Can be distinguished from A. incisum which has a piloses lamina and veins that are not ending in the teeth of marginal serrations.

Habitat: Terrestrial on road banks, boulders, forest floor, always in deep shade.
