Capitula small, numerous, usually pendulous, heterogamous with female ray florets and bisexual disk florets, or homogamous with female ray florets 0. Phyllaries few-seriate with membranous margin. Pappus 0. Derivation of name: from the Greek goddess Artemis. Worldwide: c.350 species in north temperate zones, S America and southern Africa. Malawi: 1 taxon. |
