Climber; Notes: Climber. Flowers grow on long shoots with 2 cm long stalks. White flowers, 6 petals, 1 pair of tendrils, a flower stalk just beneath flowers. Leaves imparipinnate with 2 pairs of leaflets and a single leaflet at apex, margins of leaflets serrate. Stem green to reddish, whole plant covered in fine short hairs. Not common.

Notes: Stem velvety and dark brown. Leaves opposite, obovate and velvety. Stipules present, petiole 1 cm long. Veins prominent beneath leaves. Fruit light green, 4 winged capsules, velvety.

10 cm high; Shrub; Notes: Small shrub, 10 cm high. Stem herbaceous and green. Short soft hair on stem and leaves. Leaves sessile with sheath and lanceolate. Yellow flowers. Scattered in soft sandy white soil.

Creeper; Notes: Herbaceous creeper-like plant. Purple flowers. Leaves sheathed. Short roots at nodes. Stems covered in short white hair. Grows in shade in sandy white soil.

20 cm high; Shrub; Notes: Herbaceous shrub, 20 cm high. Leaves opposite, lanceolate and sessile. Long hair at nodes. Stems round and green. Stems and leaves covered in fine hair. Flowers tiny tubes, 4 pink petals fused into tube, cream coloured mouth. Grows in shade.

15 cm high; Shrub; Notes: Tiny herbaceous shrub, 10 - 15 cm high. Stem herbaceous and green, some are squared. Leaves sessile, linear, light grey in colour, velvety below and shiny on top. Flowers in a whorl in leaf axils, sessile, 5 linear petals fused into a tube and yellow centre. Rare. Grows in omuramba in white sandy soil.

Herbaceous shrub, 0.40-0.30 m high. Flowers carried in spike-like inflorescence. 5 white petals with yellow mouth, tubular. Flowers carried on one side of spike. Fruits, small, four lobed capsules. Leaves obovate, covered in long hair on both sides of leaf, alternate. Stem green and covered in bristle hairs.

20 cm high; Shrub; Notes: Tiny shrub, 20 cm high, scattered. Light purple flowers carried on 2 cm long stalk from axil of leaf. Cream coloured centre, pistils and stamens. Leaves alternate, sessile and lanceolate. Leaves and stems covered in long white hair. White sandy soil next to road.

Shrub; Notes: Tiny shrub, 15 cm high. Stems light brown. Leaves opposite, clustered, lanceolate with entire margins. Pink flowers carried in bundles, 5 petals, cream coloured pistil and stamens. Common in white sandy soil in shade.

Shrub; Notes: 1 m tall shrub. Flower have 5 yellow petals with deep maroon centre, stamens orange and carried on spike. Flower stalk covered in long spikey hairs. Leaves opposite, palmately compound with 5 leaflets, lanceolate with serrate margins. Stipules present. Stems green and purple coloured on one side, somewhat herbaceous to lightly woody. Grows in white sandy soil.

40 cm high; Shrub; Notes: Small shrub, 40 cm high. Flowers round, yellow balls, in bundles at tips of new growth, compound. Leaves sessile and alternate, margin entire to toothed. Stem herbaceous and covered in long white hairs. Clay to sandy soil. Common.

3 m high; Tree; Notes: Tree, 3 m high. Bark brown, stipules present on stems. Slightly velvety to velvet on young shoots. Compound leaves bipinnate with 11 pairs of pinnae. Fruits elliptic capsules, yellow. No flowers. Growing in well-drained white sand. Scattered.

Shrub; Notes: Small herbaceous shrub. Flowers purple with 5 petals bending backwards, pistils bright yellow. Petals fused. Leaves opposite to alternate, oblanceolate, hairy on both sides, bicolored. Tiny spines present on petiole and midvein beneath leaf surface. Stems green and covered in bristle hair. No fruits. Growing in well-drained, sandy loam soil along fire-break. Common.

50 cm high; Shrub; Notes: Shrub, 50 cm high. Stem light grey. Young shoots, leaves and petioles covered in short yellow bristle hair. Leaves opposite, elliptic with tapering base and apex, velvety. Purple flower with 5 fused petals bending backwards to reveal yellow stamens. Petals wrinkled. Scattered, grows in omuramba in sandy soil.

Parasite; Notes: Root parasite 30 cm high. Grows in base of grass bundles. Flowers light pink to purple, tube like. Corolla tube covered in fine hair. Leaves linear to lanceolate, opposite and very rough to touch, green. Found in pan-like area in omuramba next to road.

3 m high; Tree; Notes: Tree, 3 m high. Light grey stem to light brown on young shoots. Leaves elliptic, light green-grey, in clusters, sessile. Midveins prominent below. No flowers. Fruits light red, capsules oval and have a wing. Grows in white sandy soil. Scattered.

Creeper; Notes: Creeper, herbaceous. Stems covered with short dense hairs. Leaves carried on 5 cm long petioles, hastate with serrate margins, alternate. Stipules present. Flowers carried in a raceme, fluffy balls. Young growth tips curls around the plants. Grows in shade in sandy white soil.

10 cm high; Shrub; Notes: Tiny herbaceous shrub, 10 cm high. Stem green and velvety. Leaves sessile, opposite to alternate, lanceolate, bicoloured, margin entire. Yellow tubular flowers, 5 petals, 3 cm long stalks. Common in well-drained loamy sandy soil in semi-shade.
