Description: |
Stems twining or trailing from a perennial tuber; stems green hispid. Leaves: petiole 4-6 cm; lamina variable, triangular to pentagonal in outline, ± entire to deeply 3-5-lobed; base cordate to sagittate, hirsute. Inflorescences borne at the nodes, pedunculate. Male flowers borne in 3-4 cm, dense, spikes; flowers numerous, sessile. Female flowers borne in 1-1.5 cm, subcapitate spikes; flowers fewer, sessile. Fruits yellow-orange when mature, hirsute. |
