Description:
|
Evergreen shrub or small tree, often with long scrambling branched. Young branches densely covered in greyish or rusty-brown stellate hairs. Leaves spirally arranged, lanceolate to elliptic, 5 - 15 cm long, glossy dark green above, covered in a dense felt of creamy-grey to rusty-brown stellate hairs; margin entire; petiole up to 2 cm long grooved above. Flowers in terminal and axillary heads c. 2 cm in diameter, creamy-green. Fruit an almost round capsule, c. 6 × 5 mm, velvety, splitting into 2 valves, the valves splitting again. |
